The Canadian School of Warsaw is a preschool and elementary community located in the Mokotów district that provides a holistic, international education. Teaching approach

Programmes

The school delivers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students aged 3 to 14. The curriculum is transdisciplinary, organized around six themes: Who We Are, Where We Are in Place and Time, How We Express Ourselves, How the World Works, How We Organize Ourselves, and Sharing the Planet. In addition to the IB framework, the school implements the Polish Ministry of Education curriculum, with daily Polish lessons and preparation for the School Readiness Diagnosis. Subjects taught include Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, French, Music, Art, Coding, and Physical Education.

Outcomes

Students are prepared for both Polish and international educational paths, with elementary students achieving results in state exams and international assessments such as the Preliminary English Test (PET), First Certificate in English (FCE), and Certificate in Advanced English (CAE). The school focuses on developing globally conscious, caring, and knowledgeable citizens who are equipped for lifelong learning.

Learning support

The school employs a dedicated psychologist and counsellor to support students' emotional well-being, resilience, and healthy relationships. Admissions

Admission is conducted year-round, subject to availability, with a reserve list for full grades. The process requires a meeting with the Principal involving both parents and the child, completion of an admission form, a medical examination, and the signing of an education agreement. Recruitment interviews and school tours are held Monday through Friday between 9:15 am and 1:30 pm by appointment.

The school operates across three campuses in the Mokotów district of Warsaw. Facilities include a 580 m2 preschool premises, a large fully equipped gym, a library, an art room, and a soccer field. The school provides a safe, homely atmosphere designed to support individual student needs.

Co-curriculars

The school offers an extensive extracurricular programme to develop student interests and hobbies. Offerings include sports such as karate, soccer, ballet, and dance; creative arts like pottery, piano, and drums; and academic or skill-based activities including chess, coding, archaeology, speech therapy, and yoga. These activities utilize the school's facilities, including the gym, library, art room, and soccer field.

She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and Communication, postgraduate studies in education management, and is responsible for the school’s educational development, policies, and faculty management.

    She has served as the Preschool Principal for the past 16 years and holds an MA in French Philology, along with postgraduate qualifications in Early Years Education and Educational Management. She has extensive international teaching experience, including four years in London, and has completed multiple IB workshops.

    She joined the Canadian School of Warsaw in 2009 and has worked with students from Grade 1 to Grade 8. She is a graduate of the English Teacher Training College and Polish Philology for Media, and is a firm believer in IB programmes, focusing on inquiry-based learning and student agency.
