Established in 2001 by the Kalyan Bharti Trust, the school aims to recreate the ancient Indian Gurukul tradition within a modern context. It emphasizes holistic development—physical, mental, social, and intellectual—by focusing on concepts and issues that transcend disciplinary, cultural, and national boundaries. The school promotes values of hard work, consistency, perseverance, and respect for all, while encouraging students to become conscientious and responsible global citizens.

The school offers a diverse academic portfolio including the national CISCE (ICSE and ISC) curriculum and international pathways such as the Cambridge Lower Secondary (CLS) for classes VI–VIII, IGCSE for classes IX–X, and the IBDP for classes XI–XII. It also serves as a study centre for the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). The academic approach emphasizes research-based assessment, critical thinking, and cross-curricular learning, moving away from rote memorization.

Sports infrastructure includes two swimming pools, a 200-meter track, an archery ground, two basketball courts, two synthetic tennis courts, two badminton courts, a cricket field, a football field, a rock climbing wall, a roller skating rink, a rifle shooting range, a gymnasium, and arenas for table tennis, long jump, shot put, and high jump. The school also operates a fleet of over 80 air-conditioned buses for student transport and maintains an infirmary.
