The King’s School is a selective independent day school for boys and girls aged 3–18. The school operates on a three-term academic year (Autumn, Spring, and Summer). Terms typically begin in early September, early January, and mid-April, with half-term breaks scheduled in October, February, and May/June. The school year concludes in early July.

Located on an 80-acre rural campus in Prestbury, Cheshire, the school features modern, purpose-built facilities opened in 2020. Indoor amenities include a 950-seat Jackson Hall, a 200-seat recital hall, a drama hall, a lecture theatre, science laboratories, and a sports centre with a 1,000m² sports hall, swimming pool, dance studio, and gym.
