The Rehla Academy

The school is founded on the Tarbiyah model, aiming to meet the educational and spiritual needs of Muslim children by developing well-rounded, morally upright individuals. Its core values are centered on the "7Cs": Curiosity, Character, Contemplation, Connections, Collaboration, Cultivation, and Caring. The school promotes an environment of excellence where students are encouraged to reach their full potential academically, socially, morally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

The school provides a comprehensive educational pathway from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through to Secondary School (Years 7-12). The curriculum blends Islamic education (Tarbiyah model) with the British and Nigerian national curricula. Following the IGCSE examinations, students may transition to the TRA Elite Leadership Academy, which offers an advanced programme including Cambridge A-Levels, SAT, IELTS/TOEFL, GMAT, UTME, and JUPEB preparation, alongside leadership and Islamic studies courses.

The school emphasizes the development of the "total person," aiming to produce compassionate, confident, and disciplined individuals. Students have achieved recognition in external competitions, including awards in coding, robotics, and physics. The advanced programme prepares students for university entry through qualifications such as Cambridge A-Levels and SATs.

The school provides personalized teaching with small class sizes of 10-15 students to allow for individual attention. Extensive intervention is available for students who are underachieving, and an English Intervention programme is offered for students with limited proficiency in the language.

The school accepts new students annually in September, with ongoing placement throughout the year if spaces are available. The admission process includes document verification, a placement test, and an interview to ensure the school can meet the applicant's academic, emotional, physical, and social needs. Priority is given to siblings, families living near the school, and relocation cases.

The school operates on an annual intake cycle, with the new academic year beginning in September. Placement for available spaces is considered on an ongoing basis starting from April each year.

The campus in Abeokuta features a mini sports arena with a football field, basketball court, and volleyball court, as well as science laboratories equipped for Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. It includes a collaborative workspace known as the TRA Makerspace (TRAM) for DIY projects and innovation, and boarding facilities that accommodate 54 students. Future developments include dedicated Art, Media, and Language studios.

The school offers a range of age-appropriate enrichment programmes and clubs designed to extend learning beyond the classroom. Students participate in activities such as coding and robotics, and the school maintains a Student Representative Council (SRC). Additionally, the school operates the TRA Community Engagement Program (TRA-CEP).
