Tilata Sas

Founded in 1992, the school is a private, co-educational, and bilingual (Spanish-English) institution that seeks to develop the full potential of its students in mind, body, and spirit. It promotes an inclusive environment that values diversity and aims to form individuals who are inquirers, reflective, open-minded, and committed to transforming the world. The school's name, 'Tilatá', is derived from the Muisca language and signifies 'joy in the place of labor'.

The school is authorized to offer the three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). The curriculum is structured around inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding, and transdisciplinary approaches, with a focus on developing students' skills and international-mindedness. The school serves students from preschool through high school, maintaining a structure of two classes per grade with approximately 24 students per course.

Located at Kilometer 9 on the road between Bogotá and La Calera, the school is situated in a rural, mountainous setting. The campus includes specialized areas for various disciplines, including music, art, physical education, and technology, as well as an infirmary and administrative offices.
