Ummusshabri Islamic School

The school is guided by the principles of being 'Sholih, Islamist, Populist, Accomplished, and Socialist.' The name 'Ummusshabri' translates to 'the peak of patience,' reflecting the founders' goal to cultivate students who possess high levels of patience and dedication in building the nation, particularly within the Southeast Sulawesi region.

The foundation operates several levels of formal education, including Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Elementary School (MI Pesri), Junior High School (MTs Pesri), and Senior High School (MA Pesri). The curriculum is integrated, with madrasah levels under the guidance of the Department of Religious Affairs and early childhood education under the Ministry of Education and Culture. Additionally, the foundation oversees the Universitas Islam Ummusshabri, which offers undergraduate programs in fields such as Architecture, Physics, Health Administration, Applied Biology, Information Technology, and Data Science.

The school maintains a professional teaching staff, with a significant number of educators holding master's degrees (S2). Teachers are expected to be proficient in IT and foreign languages, such as English and Arabic, to support the integrated Islamic curriculum.

The school conducts a formal recruitment process for educators and staff, which includes document and portfolio screening, interviews, written tests, and micro-teaching demonstrations. Applicants must be Indonesian citizens, Muslim, and hold at least a bachelor's degree (S1) with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Specific requirements for teaching roles include proficiency in English or Arabic, IT skills, and for Tahfidz teachers, a minimum memorization of 15 juz.

The school operates on an annual cycle, with recruitment and administrative processes typically occurring in the first half of the year. Major events, such as the Ummusshabri Expo, are held to host national-level competitions and academic showcases.

The campus is located in the Kadia District of Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. It includes a clinic for health screenings and provides boarding facilities for students, with specific roles for teachers to serve as dormitory caregivers.

The school organizes various student competitions and events, including the Ummusshabri Expo, which features activities such as storytelling, public speaking, news casting, and science olympiads. These events are designed to foster academic and non-academic achievements among students.
