Teaching approach
The school places play at the heart of its educational mission to stimulate a natural desire to learn. Developed in collaboration with the LEGO Foundation and Project Zero at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the 'Pedagogy of Play' encourages students to test limits, embrace mistakes as progress, and find joy in the learning process. The school also adheres to the IDEA statement, which prioritizes Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility.
Programmes
The school follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3–11 and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11–16. The curriculum integrates Danish language instruction—offered in both 'Language & Literature' and 'Acquisition' tracks—starting in P1. The academic approach emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, real-world connections, and the development of the ten IB learner profile attributes, with an additional core value of being 'Playful.'
Student support
Learning support
The school employs dedicated well-being and learning specialists across its departments to support student development. Specific support is provided for English language reading and EAL (English as an Additional Language), alongside specialized staff who assist in the After School Club and classroom settings.
