Vistamar School is a private, independent high school serving grades 9-12 in the South Bay region of Los Angeles. It offers a challenging, college-preparatory curriculum within a diverse, intentionally inclusive community designed to prepare students for success in higher education and life.

Admissions

Vistamar School accepts applications on a rolling basis for grades 9-12. The admissions process includes an inquiry, campus tours, and the submission of application forms. About the campus

The 76,000 square-foot campus in El Segundo features 22 classrooms organized into department pods, including four full-sized science laboratories. Specialized spaces include a state-of-the-art performing arts space, a practice gymnasium, a large open atrium, and a Creative Commons housing visual and performing arts facilities. The Viking Commons provides a commercial kitchen and communal gathering space for the school community.

Co-curriculars

Students participate in a wide range of activities including Model United Nations, robotics, the Vistamar Student Network, and the school newspaper, the Vistamar View. Leadership opportunities are embedded in daily life through roles such as team captains, club founders, affinity group leaders, peer mentors, and members of the Honor Council and VistaCrew. Students also gather for Morning Meetings three times per week and engage in various student-led clubs and affinity spaces.
