Yago School Málaga is a private, international, and bilingual IB World School for students aged 3 to 18. It combines the Spanish national curriculum with the International Baccalaureate framework to prepare students for a globalised world.

Teaching approach

Programmes
The school offers an IB continuum, including the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3–12, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 12–16, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for ages 16–18. The curriculum is delivered primarily in English (approximately 85% of the timetable), with Spanish Language and Literature and Religion/Values taught in Spanish. Mandarin Chinese and French are offered as additional languages.
Outcomes
Students achieve strong academic outcomes and high success rates in Cambridge English exams. The school prepares pupils for entry into top universities in Spain and internationally through the IB Diploma Programme. Graduates are expected to reach C1–C2 levels in English and effective communicative proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and French.

Admissions
The admissions process is a four-phase experience: initial enquiry, application submission, file review and assessment, and final enrolment. Prospective families may book on-site meetings or video calls to learn about the school. For entry into Primary, Secondary, and Baccalaureate stages, the school conducts interviews and/or admissions tests to assess the student's profile and any additional support requirements.
Calendar
The school day runs from 8:55 am to 5:00 pm, with gate opening times at 8:35 am. Optional services include a Breakfast Club from 7:30 am to 8:30 am and an Afternoon Club or extracurricular activities from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm. On specific calendar dates, as well as Fridays in September and June, the school day concludes at 3:00 pm.

About the campus
The campus features modern academic spaces, including science laboratories, a computer room with a 3D printer, and a library. Sports facilities include a heated swimming pool with a retractable roof, a gym, an astroturf football field, paddle tennis courts, and basketball courts. The site also houses a concert hall, an on-site kitchen with a show-cooking concept, and a boarding residence with single and double rooms for students aged 13 to 18.
