The school offers a comprehensive academic program from preschool through grade 12, with German as the primary language of instruction and English and French integrated throughout. The curriculum includes an accelerated German Immersion Class for students in grades 1 to 6 with little-to-no prior German skills. High school students (grades 5–12) master over twelve academic subjects, with a strong focus on math, science, and languages. The school is part of a worldwide network of 135 German schools abroad.

Graduates of the school achieve native-level proficiency in German and English, with French proficiency at either a second-language or native level depending on the stream. Students are prepared to earn both a Quebec High School Diploma and the German International Abitur (DIA), the latter being the highest diploma awarded to secondary school students in Germany and at German schools abroad. These qualifications provide students with tools for international communication and prepare them for global academic and professional opportunities.

The school provides individual support through small class sizes, maintaining an approximate 15:1 teacher-to-student ratio. Guidance and career counseling services are available to assist students throughout their academic journey. Additionally, the school offers a dedicated student support program.

The school welcomes students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, with an enrolment period typically running from January to March, though year-round registration is possible based on availability. The application process includes an initial contact with the school office, entrance tests for students from grade 1 and up, and a trial day. Required documentation includes a completed application form, a $200 registration fee, a birth certificate, the last two report cards, and relevant Canadian immigration documents.

The school year typically begins in late August, with specific start dates for different grade levels. The academic calendar includes standard holidays such as Labour Day and Thanksgiving, and concludes in late June. The school hosts various events throughout the year, including open houses, graduation ceremonies, and parent council meetings.

Located in the Montreal suburb of Baie-D’Urfé, the campus is situated on the St. Lawrence River and features modern facilities including a library and the ALEX Maker Space. The school grounds provide vast outdoor space for students, and the campus is equipped with solar panels. Sports and physical activities are supported by a small gym.
