The school offers a curriculum that combines Jordanian Ministry of Education guidelines with international standards. From grades 6 to 10, students follow the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP). After grade 8, students choose between the Jordanian national curriculum (leading to the Tawjihi exam) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The academic program includes core subjects such as Arabic, English, Mathematics, Sciences, Social Studies, Religious Studies, and Design Technology, supported by the "Units of Study" literacy curriculum from Columbia University.

Graduates are prepared for higher education and competitive global environments. Students in the international stream are eligible to sit for the International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations, while those in the national stream complete the Jordanian General Secondary Examination (Tawjihi) in either the scientific or literary stream. The school aims to develop responsible, tolerant, and productive citizens who maintain pride in their identity and Arab heritage.

The school provides personalized care and support for each student, maintaining an inclusive environment for a diverse student body. Specialized support programs are available for students in grades 1-10, including options for shadow teachers and subject-specific support. Amman National School welcomes applications for students aged 4 to 18. The admissions process includes an interview and an entrance exam for all grade levels. Prospective families are encouraged to visit the campus for a tour to experience the school's learning environment firsthand.

The academic year typically begins in late August and concludes in June, divided into two semesters. The calendar includes scheduled breaks for winter and spring, as well as holidays for national and religious occasions. Key events throughout the year include student performance reports, parent-teacher meetings, and final examinations.

The campus features four specialized science labs for physics, chemistry, biology, and elementary science, as well as three computer labs. Creative facilities include four visual arts studios, spacious music rooms equipped with various instruments, and design studios for woodworking, sewing, and 3D printing. Sports facilities consist of an artificial-turf football field, basketball and volleyball courts, and an indoor court, complemented by a library, a rooftop garden with a greenhouse, and a theater.

Students participate in a variety of activities, including Model United Nations (MUN) and the "Darat Al-Ishraqat Al-Adabiyya" literary organization. Sports teams are available for football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and badminton, all supervised by professional coaches. Additionally, the school hosts musical opportunities such as a choir, band, and orchestra, alongside regular theatrical performances.
