Aquarela Trails School

Aquarela School is a humanist institution that follows a socio-interactionist approach, where learning is driven by social interactions. The pedagogical proposal is fully aligned with the BNCC, placing 'play' as the central pillar of the curriculum to foster autonomy, creativity, and emotional regulation.

The curriculum is organized into cycles: Nursery (4-14 months), Mini Maternal (15-23 months), Maternal (2-3 years), and Jardim (4-5 years). It features an integrated bilingual curriculum where English is taught through daily routines and shared regency, alongside Portuguese. The pedagogical framework is based on the BNCC's five fields of experience, incorporating projects, intentional routines, and structured free play.

The school aims to educate children integrally, preparing them to contribute to a just, ethical, and responsible society. It maintains a partnership with the Trails School to ensure a smooth transition for students entering the bilingual Elementary School.

The school employs a psychologist and a psychopedagogue who provide institutional support, focusing on child development, teacher training, and family guidance. This support is integrated into the pedagogical practice to foster an inclusive environment and ensure well-being, rather than providing individual clinical therapy.

The school offers a gradual and individualised adaptation process that actively involves families. Interested families can schedule a visit via WhatsApp, email, or the school's website to tour the facilities and meet the team.

The campus in Perdizes features a variety of indoor and outdoor learning spaces, including the 'Aquaplay' water area, an 'Adventure Park' with wooden play equipment, and a 'Solarium' for sensory experiences. Other facilities include an 'Office' for arts and technology, a vegetable garden, a large field with fruit trees, sandpits, and a dedicated space for the school's pets. The environment is designed to promote autonomy, with specific areas for storytelling, puppet theatre, and physical movement.

The school offers a recreational extended-day programme (contraturno) featuring six lúdica specialties: dance, sports initiation, theatre, circus, and artistic experimentation. Additionally, all cycles include weekly sessions with specialists in music and capoeira, with psychomotricity offered exclusively to the nursery.
