Ar Rohmah IIBS

Ar-Rohmah is an Islamic educational institution dedicated to fostering a generation that is pious (Taqwa), intelligent (Cerdas), and independent (Mandiri). The educational approach integrates intellectual, life-skill, and mental-spiritual aspects, grounded in a pesantren (Islamic boarding) culture that emphasizes adab, character development, and the study of classical and modern Islamic texts.

The academic programme combines the national curriculum (K13) with Diniyah (Islamic studies) and Kepengasuhan (character development) curricula. Students can choose from various pathways, including Reguler, Tahfidz (with memorization targets ranging from 3 to 30 juz), and Takhasus, with some tracks incorporating international Cambridge certification or university preparation classes like SAT. The Diniyah curriculum involves the study of 21 classical and modern texts covering subjects such as Aqidah, Fiqh, Hadith, and Arabic language.

The school provides continuous academic and study-planning support, beginning in grade 10, to assist students with university preparation. This includes interest mapping, academic performance monitoring, and guidance in selecting university programs. Additionally, students receive specialized training in Quranic teaching methodologies, such as the Ummi certification program.

The admissions process consists of four stages: payment of the registration fee, confirmation of payment, completion of an online form, and attendance at an offline selection test. The selection process includes written tests in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Indonesian, and English, as well as Quranic tests (Tilawah and/or memorization) and an interview. Results are typically announced via the school website 7-10 days after the test.

The daily schedule is structured to balance academic, religious, and personal development. The day begins at 03:30 with Qiyamul Lail and morning prayers, followed by morning Diniyah (Quranic studies) and school lessons. The afternoon includes Diniyah sessions, sports, and independent study, concluding with evening prayers and a final study period before lights out at 21:30.

The school operates across three campuses in Malang, featuring facilities designed to support both academic and boarding life. These include comfortable student dormitories, modern classrooms, science and multimedia laboratories, libraries, dining halls, and minimarkets. The campus environment is equipped to facilitate both formal schooling and intensive religious study.

Students participate in a variety of activities designed to foster leadership, communication, and life skills, such as the International Leadership and English Language Camp (iLELAC). Other activities include sports like archery, organizational training through the Gerakan Pandu Hidayatullah (GPH), and community service projects. The school also emphasizes literacy and scientific innovation through student-led projects and competitions.
