The International School of Piraeus (ISP) is an authorized IB World School providing an international education programme for children aged 2.5 to 12. Located in Piraeus, it is the first school in the area to implement the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Programmes

The school offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students from Early Years (ages 3-5) through Grade 6. The curriculum is transdisciplinary, organized around six themes: Who we are, Where we are in place and time, How we express ourselves, How the world works, How we organize ourselves, and Sharing the planet. The programme includes a bilingual educational approach from the start, with additional foreign language instruction in French, German, and Spanish beginning in the 3rd grade.

Outcomes

Students are developed into active global citizens who possess critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning. In the 6th grade, students participate in the PYP Exhibition, a significant capstone event where they synthesize their learning and present their understanding of the IB learner profiles to the school community. The programme aims to equip students with the skills and concepts necessary to connect their educational experiences to real-world realities.

Admissions

The school maintains a formal admissions policy and procedures, which are available for review by prospective families. Calendar

About the campus

Located at 66-70 Praxitelous Street in Piraeus, the campus features specialized learning environments including an outdoor classroom for students aged 3-7. Technology is integrated into the learning experience through the use of iPads and i-Books. The school also provides facilities for nutrition and transportation services.
