The school aims to inspire students to become creative, critical thinkers, multilingual communicators, and proactive global citizens who lead balanced lives. It emphasizes project- and inquiry-based learning to foster intellectual curiosity, agency, and international-mindedness. The educational approach focuses on developing BC Core Competencies—intellectual, personal, social, and emotional—to prepare students for a changing world.

The school offers a dual-pathway education: the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Kindergarten (ages 2-5) and Elementary (Grades 1-5), and the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 6-9. From Grades 10-12, students follow the British Columbia Graduation Program, which leads to the Dogwood Diploma. The curriculum covers core subjects including Language and Literature, Mathematics, Sciences, Social Studies, Arts, Design, and Physical and Health Education.

Graduates earn the British Columbia Dogwood Diploma, which is internationally recognized. High school seniors complete a Capstone Project, showcasing a personal passion or future pathway through research and presentation. The school’s program aims to prepare students for post-secondary goals by building a portfolio of experiences, including academic courses, service, and leadership.

The school provides English Language Learning (ELL) support as needed to help students achieve the required language proficiency. Additionally, the school offers counseling and advisory services to support student wellbeing and academic progress.

The admissions process begins with an initial enquiry via phone, email, or social media, followed by a scheduled campus tour. Prospective students undergo a placement assessment in reading, writing, decoding, and numeracy to ensure appropriate grade-level placement. Upon acceptance, families receive support with enrollment, uniform purchases, and orientation materials to facilitate a smooth transition. While the primary testing window for the September academic year is in March, assessments and enrollment are available throughout the year.

The school operates Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. The office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. The academic year commences in September.

The campus features international-standard facilities, including a gymnasium, swimming pool, and an outdoor covered sports area. Academic spaces include two science laboratories, two media labs, an IMAC lab, a music building, and classrooms equipped with projectors, screens, and smartboards. The grounds also house dedicated playgrounds for kindergarten and elementary students, a lunchroom, and a health office with nursing staff.

Students participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, and student-led clubs. High school students shape campus life through groups such as the Leadership Club, the Green Bears sustainability initiative, and the Care Bears advocacy group. Additionally, students engage in annual residential camps, field trips, and community service projects, including the 30-hour volunteer requirement for graduation.
