Admissions

Calendar

The school operates on a three-term basis: Autumn, Spring, and Summer. Each term includes fixed exeats and a half-term break. Set within 260 acres of grounds, the campus includes a nationally recognised arboretum and is located near the River Stour and the Dorset coast. Sports facilities feature a sports centre with a 25-metre pool, a modern gym, a climbing wall, 12 grass pitches, two all-weather pitches, 30 tennis courts, a nine-hole golf course, and a Real Tennis court. Arts facilities include the 300-seat Layard Theatre, a music school, and the Coldstream Gallery. The school also maintains a library with over 25,000 resources and a dedicated outdoor education centre.

The school offers an extensive co-curricular programme featuring over 50 activities, groups, and societies. Pupils participate in more than 1,000 sports matches annually and have access to 20 music groups and ensembles. Leadership development is a core focus, with 40 pupil leader roles available each year and an award-winning Combined Cadet Force (CCF). Community engagement is also central, with pupils contributing thousands of hours to local, regional, and international projects.
