Charis International School is the first registered international school in Tawau, Sabah, providing an internationally recognized education for students from kindergarten through secondary levels. Programmes

The school follows the Cambridge International curriculum from kindergarten through Year 11. The academic offering includes English (First and Second Language), Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Business Studies, Accounting, Humanities, Computer Science, and languages including Mandarin and Malay. The Cambridge Global Perspectives programme is also integrated to develop transferable skills such as research, analysis, and collaboration.

Outcomes

Students consistently perform in Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary Checkpoint Examinations. The school prepares students for the IGCSE qualification, which is equivalent to GCE 'O'-Levels and widely accepted by colleges and universities worldwide. Admissions

Prospective families must submit an application form, the student's recent school report, passport-sized photos, and copies of identification documents for both the student and parents. A non-refundable application fee of RM200 is required. Admissions tests and trial classes are typically conducted twice a year, though they may be arranged upon individual request.

Calendar

The academic year begins in August and consists of three terms, totaling approximately 40 teaching weeks. Each term lasts between 12 and 15 weeks, with scheduled midterm and term breaks throughout the year. Exam weeks are held periodically across the three terms.

About the campus

The school is located in the ten-story Calvary Crown building in the heart of Tawau. Campus facilities include ICT-enabled classrooms equipped with smart TVs, Apple TVs, iPads, and computers, as well as a computing lab, science labs, and a library. Additional amenities include an auditorium, a multi-purpose hall, a health and fitness centre, and dedicated music and dance studios.
