Charterhouse Lagos combines traditional British independent school values—such as kindness, humility, and manners—with a progressive, evidence-based approach to learning. It aims to root students in their own Nigerian and African cultural traditions while fostering a global perspective and a 'can-do' attitude. The school operates under the motto 'Deo Dante Dedi' (God having given, I gave).

Programmes

The school follows a rigorous British curriculum, offering primary education for Years 1–6 and secondary education for Years 7–9. From September 2026, the school will extend its offering to include IGCSE (Year 10) and A-Levels (Year 12). Boarding options, including weekly and full boarding, are available for students from Year 5 onwards.

Admissions

The school operates an academically selective admissions process that is open year-round for Primary (Years 1–6) and Secondary (Years 7–9) levels, as well as for IGCSE (Year 10) and A-Level (Year 12) programmes. Applications are currently open for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 academic years. While the school does not offer scholarships generally, it currently provides a 50% tuition discount under a specific Year 10 scholarship programme.

Calendar

The academic year is divided into three terms. For 2025–2026, Term 1 runs from September 1 to December 12, 2025; Term 2 runs from January 6 to March 27, 2026; and Term 3 runs from April 13 to July 10, 2026. The calendar includes scheduled half-term breaks and observes various public holidays.

About the campus

Located on a 225,000-square-metre site in Ogombo, Ajah, the campus features modern classrooms, specialist science and STEM labs, art studios, and a library. Sports facilities include a full-sized football pitch, a 400m athletic track, and basketball courts. The school also provides an aquatics centre, a medical centre, and dining facilities, with future plans for an 800-seat theatre and performing arts centre.

Co-curriculars
