Christ’s Hospital is a charitable institution with a mission to challenge inequality by providing a nurturing, transformative education for young people from all backgrounds. Christ’s Hospital is an academically selective school that admits students primarily at Year 7, Year 9, and Sixth Form, with occasional entry at Year 8 or 10. The admissions process is designed to assess whether a child will flourish in the school's busy, high-achieving environment. Families are advised to begin the application process at least 18 months before the intended entry date, and the school welcomes both boarding and day students, the latter being available to those within a commutable distance.

The school operates on a structured academic calendar with specific deadlines for bursary, scholarship, and general applications. Key milestones include initial assessments in the autumn term, residential assessments in January for younger entry points, and offer/acceptance windows throughout the spring. The academic year concludes with events such as Speech Day and various end-of-year displays.
