Doha Academy

Doha Academy is a Muslim institution that integrates academic and religious curricula to foster spiritual, moral, social, intellectual, and physical growth. It aims to develop "whole children" who are independent thinkers, respectful, responsible, and well-grounded in Islamic values. The school promotes a "can do" attitude and encourages students to become motivated, enquiring, and collaborative global citizens.

The school follows the National Curriculum for England from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to Year 13. Primary education covers Key Stages 1 and 2 (ages 5–11), while secondary education includes Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9), Key Stage 4 (IGCSE in Years 10–11), and Key Stage 5 (AS/A-Level in Years 12–13). In addition to core subjects like English, Math, Science, and Humanities, the school is required to teach Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History. Classes are co-educational from Kindergarten to Year 5, with gender-segregated classes from Year 6 onwards.

The school utilizes a differentiated approach to teaching and learning to support students who require additional assistance. This structured methodology is designed to meet the needs of all students, ensuring that those who need support are accommodated alongside those who require further challenge.

The school accepts applications for students aged 3 to 18, spanning Kindergarten to Year 13. Prospective families are encouraged to schedule a campus tour, which are available daily except Fridays at 2:00 pm, provided they are booked at least 48 hours in advance. Applicants must provide a Qatari ID for tours, and those transferring from local schools are required to ensure all documentation is properly signed and stamped.

The academic year typically follows a structure with terms beginning in late August. The school provides downloadable academic calendars for upcoming years, such as 2025-2026 and 2026-2027, to assist families with planning. Key dates include staff return dates, student start dates, and term breaks.

Doha Academy operates across three sites: the Al Waab campus, the Salwa branch, and the Doha International Kindergarten (DIKg). The Al Waab campus is a purpose-built facility opened in 2014 that serves EYFS, primary, and secondary students. Classrooms are equipped with computers and interactive whiteboards, and the school maintains well-resourced laboratories for ICT instruction.

The school emphasizes the development of the "whole child" and provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities. These opportunities are designed to help students explore their interests, develop physical fitness through sports, and gain experience in taking responsibility.
