Al Wataniya International School - AWIS

The school follows the National Curriculum of England, supplemented by the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The academic programme includes mandatory instruction in Arabic language, Islamic Studies, and Qatari history, with Arabic language classes streamed by ability for native and non-native speakers.

The admissions process begins with the submission of an online Expression of Interest Form. Following this, prospective families participate in an assessment, which requires a one-off payment of QR500. Upon receiving an offer of a place, a registration fee is required to secure enrollment.

The school operates on a three-term academic year. The 2025-26 academic year begins on 31 August 2025 and concludes on 25 June 2026, with scheduled breaks for half-term, National Sports Day, and Eid Al-Adha.

Located in the Leqtaifiya/West Bay Lagoon area, the campus features light and airy classrooms and shaded playgrounds. The school grounds include open spaces and greenery designed to support the development of primary-aged students.

The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities (ECAs) designed to enhance the core curriculum. These activities provide students with opportunities to explore interests beyond the classroom and are integrated into the school's holistic approach to development.
