Alphabet Street Nursery

Alphabet Street Nursery emphasizes a play-based approach to learning, focusing on the individual needs, self-esteem, and well-being of each child. The nursery aims to create a safe, secure, and home-like environment that fosters independence and prepares children for their future transition to mainstream schooling.

The nursery follows the 'Birth to Three Matters' framework for children under three and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for children aged three and above. The curriculum covers seven key areas of learning, including communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design. Weekly Arabic and French classes are also integrated into the programme.

The nursery maintains low student-teacher ratios to ensure individual attention: 3:1 for infants, 5:1 for toddlers, and 8:1 for FS1 students. The staff focuses on building confidence, independence, and social skills through a nurturing, play-based environment.

The nursery requires an initial visit and tour for prospective families. Following the tour, parents may submit a registration form along with a non-refundable fee of AED 1,000 to secure a seat. Full enrollment requires the submission of various documents, including medical forms, birth certificates, and a full term's fees.

The nursery operates from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and remains closed on Saturdays and Sundays. It follows a term-based academic structure.

The campus spans 14,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor learning space. Facilities include dedicated classrooms, a paddling pool, sand play areas, swings, and slides, all designed to support active learning and play.

The nursery offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including karate, Zumba, gymnastics, ballet, soccer, yoga, and Afro drum classes. Additionally, children participate in weekly cooking sessions, music activities, and seasonal events.
