The European School Frankfurt (ESF) is one of 13 official European Schools supervised by EU governments, providing multilingual and multicultural education from nursery through to the European Baccalaureate. It serves approximately 1,600 pupils in a community that integrates German, English, French, Italian, and Spanish language sections.

Teaching approach

The school promotes an open, positive, and respectful environment where diversity is celebrated as a daily enrichment for the community. It aims to provide high-quality, multilingual, and multicultural education that challenges and rewards students on both personal and professional levels. The school emphasizes student well-being through dedicated anti-bullying, child protection, and health policies.

Programmes

The school offers a comprehensive educational programme spanning nursery, primary, and secondary cycles. Instruction is delivered through multiple language sections, including German, English, French, Italian, and Spanish. The curriculum is designed to lead students to the European Baccalaureate, supported by a structured organization of studies, syllabi, and regular assessments.

Outcomes

The school prepares students for the European Baccalaureate (BAC), which serves as the final qualification for secondary school graduates. Alumni maintain a connection to the school through annual events, such as the Alumni Day, where former pupils share their experiences of life after the Baccalaureate with current S6 and S7 students.
