Evergreen Schools Enugu

Evergreen Schools is a Christ-centered institution that aims to develop world-class leaders skilled in all wisdom. It adopts a child-centered, "Thinking School" approach that integrates 21st-century learning principles and the "Habits of Mind" framework to foster critical thinking, innovation, and ethical character.

The school offers a multi-stage curriculum: a Montessori-based preschool for ages 18 months to 5 years; a primary school (ages 5-11) following the British National Primary Framework with subject-specialist teaching; and a college (ages 11-17) that prepares students for IGCSE and WAEC qualifications. The curriculum across these stages includes core subjects such as English, mathematics, and science, alongside humanities, creative arts, modern foreign languages, and IT.

The school reports a 98% college acceptance rate. Students sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the end of primary school, the IGCSE in Year 11, and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) examinations in Year 12.

The school emphasizes personalized support through excellent teaching to ensure each student achieves their best. It maintains small class sizes, with an average of approximately 20 pupils in the primary section, to facilitate individual attention.

The school accepts applications for students from crèche through Year 12. Prospective families must submit a registration fee, two passport photographs, a birth certificate or international passport, academic reports from the previous two years, and a character testimonial. Following the application, successful candidates are invited to meet with a senior teacher for class placement.

The purpose-built campus, opened in 2016, features state-of-the-art science laboratories, a library, and an arts center. The school also utilizes technology-integrated classrooms to support its hybrid learning model.
