GEMS Winchester School - Dubai holds a "Good" rating from both the KHDA and BSO inspection reports for 2023-2024. The school is an approved examination centre for Edexcel, AQA, Oxford AQA, and the University of Cambridge International Examinations, offering iGCSE, A-Level, and BTEC vocational qualifications. Students are supported by the ALPS system, which provides ambitious grade targets based on prior attainment.

Admissions are open for students from Foundation Stage 1 (FS1) to Year 13, with a minimum age requirement of 3 years for FS1 as of August 31st. The process is conducted online, and all applicants must complete an entrance test or assessment prior to enrollment. Places are limited and subject to availability, with registration deposits required to secure a seat once an offer is made.

The school operates on a three-term structure. For the 2026-2027 academic year, the Winter Term runs from August 31, 2026, to December 11, 2026; the Spring Term runs from January 4, 2027, to April 2, 2027; and the Summer Term runs from April 12, 2027, to July 2, 2027. The academic year comprises a total of 185 school days.

The campus is located in Dubailand, near IMG Worlds of Adventure, and is designed to accommodate students from Foundation Stage through High School. Facilities include a multipurpose hall, chemistry labs, an ICT room, art rooms, and multiple libraries. Sports facilities feature a sports arena, tennis courts, and turf areas, complemented by a sensory garden and vegetable gardens for outdoor learning.

The school offers a range of after-school activities and international trips designed to stimulate student minds and foster global citizenship. Student leadership opportunities include roles such as Head Students, Student Council members, House Captains, Learning Ambassadors, and various tutor group leadership positions.
