GSIS offers a pathway from pre-nursery to A-Levels and Intermediate levels, teaching both the British Curriculum (affiliated with Cambridge International Examinations) and the National Curriculum (affiliated with the Federal Board). The academic structure is divided into various levels, including GSIS Cougars (Pre-Nursery to KG), GSIS Penguins (Grades I-II), GSIS Primary (Grades III-V), GSIS Vista (Pre-Nursery to Grade V), GSIS International (Grade VI to A-Level), and GSIS Avicenna (SSC/HSSC).

Alumni have gone on to attend prestigious universities such as LUMS, the University of Sheffield, McGill University, and NUST. Graduates pursue diverse fields including engineering, computer science, and entrepreneurship, with many holding leadership positions in the corporate and educational technology sectors.

The school admits students based on an assessment of academic capabilities, social behavior, and emotional development, which includes a written test and an interview with the student and parents. Required documentation includes birth certificates, parent CNICs, and previous school reports. Upon acceptance, non-refundable admission fees and refundable security fees are required to secure a place.

The campus includes an auditorium used for guest interviews and school events. The school provides sports facilities intended to develop athletic aptitude alongside academic pursuits. Administrative and academic operations are housed across multiple buildings in Islamabad.
