Gonzaga Campus is a Jesuit educational, cultural, sports, and social institution in Palermo that provides an integral formation for students from early childhood through high school. It operates as a global campus, offering both an Italian school curriculum and an international pathway as the only IB-accredited school in Southern Italy.

Teaching approach

The school is guided by Ignatian pedagogy, which focuses on the integral formation of the person—intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual. Its mission is to form competent, conscientious, and compassionate individuals who are committed to serving others and the community. The school promotes an international and intercultural mindset, encouraging students to become active protagonists in an inclusive and solidarity-based society.

Programmes

The school offers a complete educational journey from pre-school to high school, divided into an Italian school and an International School (ISP). The ISP provides the full IB continuum: the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3-11, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11-16, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for ages 16-18. Courses in the International School are delivered entirely in English by native-speaking teachers, while also maintaining a strong emphasis on Italian language and culture.

Outcomes

The International School Palermo (ISP) offers the IB Diploma, which is recognized by prestigious universities worldwide and is fully equivalent to an Italian Liceo Scientifico or Scienze Umane diploma. Graduates are prepared for higher education and life beyond, with the school's educational framework fostering critical thinking, research skills, and global citizenship. The school has received various awards for academic excellence across its primary, middle, and high school levels.
