Gonzaga International School

The school is inspired by Ignatian pedagogy, which emphasizes the integral formation of the person, human and spiritual excellence, and 'cura personalis'—care for the unique individual. The International School of Palermo (ISP) offers the complete International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum, with instruction delivered entirely in English by native-speaking teachers. The programme includes the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3–11, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11–16, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for ages 16–18. The curriculum emphasizes inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and multilingualism, while maintaining a strong connection to Italian language and culture. The IB Diploma is recognized for university admission globally and is equivalent to an Italian Liceo Scientifico or Scienze Umane diploma.

The campus is situated in a 25,000-square-meter park in the heart of Palermo. Sports infrastructure features four football fields (two of which are multipurpose for tennis and volleyball), a basketball/tennis court, an open gym, and both indoor and outdoor covered gymnasiums. The campus also includes laboratories, an agora, and an educational garden, with outdoor classrooms designed to foster a connection with nature.
