Teaching approach
Rooted in Catholic social teaching and the FCJ (Faithful Companions of Jesus) tradition, the school aims to provide a holistic education that values the uniqueness and giftedness of every individual. Its mission is to ensure that every student grows to be their best self, fostering an atmosphere of trust, kindness, and tolerance. The school encourages students to become responsible, successful citizens who contribute positively to society and the global community.
Programmes
The school offers a comprehensive curriculum for students aged 11–18, culminating in a Sixth Form that provides A Level and BTEC pathways. The academic programme is supported by a Personal Development (PD) curriculum, which includes PSHE and careers education. Sixth Form students benefit from specialized pathways—including university, medical, and scholars’ programmes—alongside enrichment opportunities such as work placements, conferences, and workshops.
Student support
Learning support
The school provides expert, personalized support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to ensure they reach their potential. Support is managed on an individual basis rather than through a specific specialism, with the SENDCo overseeing the provision of social, emotional, mental, and academic assistance. Additionally, a 16 to 19 Tuition Fund is utilized to provide small-group catch-up tuition in English, maths, and vocational subjects for eligible students.
Tuition & fees
No published fee schedule was found for this school.
Admissions
The school welcomes applications from all children and is committed to ensuring fair access for pupils of suitable ability, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. Upon gaining a place, students and parents are invited to a meeting with the SENDCo, a 1:1 tour of the school, and the creation of an Individual Education Plan (IEP). The school makes appropriate adjustments for candidates with disabilities in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 and relevant JCQ guidelines.
Calendar
The school operates an academic year divided into three terms: Autumn (September to December), Spring (January to March), and Summer (April to July). The calendar includes scheduled staff training (INSET) days, half-term breaks, and specific events such as Parents' Evenings, transition evenings for new students, and a Careers Fair. Dates are subject to change, and parents are notified accordingly.
