Lifeforte International High School, Ibadan

Lifeforte International Schools is a private Christian institution founded on the mission of enhancing lives through excellent education. It aims to nurture young minds from the cradle through adolescence, instilling a strong character and the ability to distinguish between good and evil while aspiring to greatness in their chosen fields.

The school offers an integrated curriculum combining Nigerian, British, and American standards. Junior Secondary students follow an integrated approach including Cambridge Checkpoint and Key Stage 3 subjects. Senior Secondary students choose between the National (WASSCE) or International (Cambridge GCE O-Level) curricula, with majors in Science, Social Science, or Arts. An accelerated Early Decision (ED) programme is available for A-Level students, compressing the course into a 12-month period.

The school reports academic success with students achieving top awards, including recognition from the British Council. Graduates are prepared for university admissions, with the curriculum serving as a springboard for further studies at the A-Level and university stages.

Applicants for all grades must complete an admission form and sit for an entrance examination. Grade 7 entry is based on entrance exam results, while Grade 10 and A-Level applicants are assessed on entrance exams alongside their previous academic records (JSS3/Checkpoint or O-Level results). Places are offered strictly on merit and subject to space availability.

The school operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with office hours from 09:00 to 18:00. The academic year includes specific assessment periods, such as the Cambridge Checkpoint for ninth graders.

Located on a 25-acre campus in Ibadan, the school features a split-level complex with air-conditioned classrooms, interactive whiteboards, a healthcare centre, and an assembly hall. The sports complex includes a heated 25m swimming pool, a multipurpose court, an artificial turf football pitch, a 6-lane tartan track, and a gymnasium. Residential facilities consist of eight hostels, each equipped with air-conditioned rooms, a kitchenette, laundry, and dedicated staff apartments, supported by independent water and power supplies.

Students participate in a wide range of activities including sports, community service, drama, and a press club. Other options include literary and debating societies, creative writing, art, craft, photography, French club, music, JETS club, public speaking, elocution, and a Young Entrepreneurs Scheme.
