The school aims to develop integral human beings who are global citizens with knowledge, values, and a strong Jewish identity. It emphasizes experiential Jewish education, teaching students to understand and value the Torah, the Jewish people, the community, and Eretz Israel. The educational approach fosters an open-minded, inquiry-based mentality, encouraging students to become compassionate, lifelong learners who contribute to the continuity of the Jewish community.

The school is an IB World School offering three of the four IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 4 to 10, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11 to 15, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for ages 16 to 18. The curriculum is trilingual, providing instruction in Spanish, English, and Hebrew. A comprehensive Jewish Studies programme is integrated throughout all levels of the school, covering biblical, rabbinic, and modern texts.

The school accepts students throughout the year, with the main enrollment period opening in May for the following academic cycle. The online admission process requires documentation such as birth certificates or passports, academic records, and health assessments, and may include entrance examinations in Hebrew, English, mathematics, and Spanish for foreign students. Applicants must be members of the Centro Israelita Sionista de Costa Rica (CIS) and remain current with all associated financial obligations.

The school operates on an international calendar, with the academic year running from August to June. Classes for Primary, Middle, and High School typically run from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with an early dismissal at 2:30 p.m. on Fridays. Students in the GAN program follow a daily schedule ending at 12:30 p.m.

Located in Sabana Sur, the campus underwent a major reconstruction in 2009 to include modern classrooms and spacious laboratories. The school features a Makerspace and various technological resources to support experiential learning. On-site services include a Kosher cafeteria providing lunch and snacks, as well as a daycare service for families.

The school offers a variety of after-school clubs covering sports, arts, and educational activities for all grade levels. Arts are integrated into the curriculum, with Primary students taking plastic arts and music, Middle School students engaging in arts and design, and High School students selecting from design, theater, or music. Additionally, the school provides a specialized support program for high-performance student-athletes, featuring a flexible curriculum tailored to individual needs.
