Pan-American School

As the first IB Continuum School in Costa Rica, it offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). The curriculum is bilingual in English and Spanish and includes diverse offerings in arts, design, and physical education. The school also provides an extensive social and emotional support system for students.

The school reports a 6:1 student-teacher ratio and an average class size of 18 students. It has achieved an IB Diploma Programme score as high as 44/45. The community represents 43 nationalities, with 28% of the student body identified as international.

The admissions process begins with a campus tour or virtual call, followed by the submission of required documentation. Prospective students must complete an admissions test and a campus visit before final enrollment can be processed. The school serves students from 18 months old through Grade 12.

Located in San Antonio de Belén, Heredia, the 8.64-acre (35,000 m²) campus features five buildings designed in harmony with nature. The grounds include sports fields, recreational areas, and cutting-edge academic facilities. The school is certified as Carbon Neutral, utilizing solar energy and comprehensive recycling programs.
