International Montessori School of Prague

The school is founded on the Montessori method, emphasizing a holistic approach to education that fosters independence, cooperation, and a love for learning. It focuses on the development of social, emotional, bodily/kinaesthetic, and moral intelligence, guided by the values of respect, consideration, responsibility, and kindness. The school aims to help students recognize their unique talents and develop the ability to work effectively with others.

The school offers a comprehensive Montessori curriculum divided into several stages: Toddlers (ages 15 months to 3 years), Primary (ages 3–6), and Elementary (ages 6–12). The Elementary programme is further divided into Lower Elementary (ages 6–9) and Upper Elementary (ages 9–12). The curriculum includes core academic subjects, practical life skills, and specialized instruction in areas such as art, music, and physical education.

Graduates of the school have a 100% success rate in enrolling in their secondary schools of choice. Alumni have moved on to a variety of institutions, including public schools, private schools, and gymnáziums such as Porg, Duhovka, Dušní, the International School of Prague, Prague British School, English International School of Prague, Park Lane International School, the Christian International School of Prague, Open Gate, and Sunny Canadian.

The school employs a psychologist who conducts therapies and diagnostics for children, with additional support available for teenagers and adults. For primary children aged four and older, the school offers an optional English as a Second Language (ESL) program. The staff is also trained to support and supervise students with special needs.

The school follows a structured admission process for prospective families. The school year is organized into three terms: the first term runs from September through December, the second from January through March, and the third from April through June. Tuition payments are scheduled according to these terms, with various payment plans available to families.

Located in a yellow building in Prague 4-Chodov, the campus features a large garden spanning over 4,000 square meters, situated next to a wood. The outdoor space includes an aviary, fruit bushes, trees, and a vegetable patch, which are utilized for student learning. The school also provides coatroom cubbies for students and maintains dedicated classroom environments designed for specific age groups.

The school provides a range of after-school enrichment classes managed by its teachers. These activities are included in the optional "All Inclusive" service package, which also covers lunch. Additionally, the school offers specialized instruction in fields such as art, Spanish, drama, music, physical education, and library science.
