The English College in Prague is a selective six-year English-medium grammar school that provides a British-style education integrated with the Czech school system. It is a public benefit company that prepares students for both the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and the Czech Maturita.

Programmes

The academic programme is designed to prepare students for the IB Diploma and the Czech Maturita. Years 1-4 follow a pre-IB curriculum that meets Czech Ministry of Education requirements while integrating UK independent school subject knowledge. In Years 5-6, students pursue the IB Diploma, with the option to also study for the Czech State Maturita, which allows for a bilingual qualification.

Outcomes

The school has a strong record of academic success, with 100% of students taking the full IB Diploma and 89% of graduates securing a place at their first-choice university. Over the past 18 years, the school has achieved 26 Oxbridge offers, and many graduates go on to study at prestigious international universities in the UK, the Czech Republic, and elsewhere.

The Learning Support Department provides assistance to students with specific learning difficulties as well as general support for all pupils. Admissions
