Admissions

The school admits students of all backgrounds and does not discriminate in its policies. The admissions process includes parent interviews for Pre-K 4 through 5th Grade, student visits for 1st through 8th Grade, and weekend playgroups for Preschool and Kindergarten applicants. While Pre-K 3 through Kindergarten are open to all language backgrounds, applicants for 1st through 5th Grade must demonstrate grade-level proficiency in French or Spanish. Middle School applicants are assessed for language fluency, though the program accommodates both beginners and those with prior academic backgrounds in French or Spanish.

Calendar

The school day generally runs from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with specific hours varying by division: Pre-K 3 and 4 (9:00 am–3:00 pm), Kindergarten–5th Grade (8:30 am–3:30 pm), and Middle School (8:45 am–3:45 pm). Early drop-off is available starting at 8:00 am or 8:20 am depending on the grade level. The school follows a trimester system for After School programming.

About the campus

Located in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, the campus features light-filled classrooms with high ceilings, a full-size gymnasium, and dedicated art and music studios. Outdoor spaces include a private, sunny courtyard for recess and community events, as well as a learning garden. The school also maintains a library and a Learning Commons.
