Curriculum
Teaching approach
The school is committed to an inclusive, bilingual, and bicultural education that fosters openness to the culture and language of the host country. It operates as part of the AEFE network, aiming to shape students into confident global citizens through a curriculum that emphasizes language mastery and intercultural understanding. The school follows a reinvestment model, directing all surplus funds back into the institution to maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Programmes
The school offers a full French curriculum from Maternelle (age 3) to Terminale, with bilingual pathways in elementary and middle school. Students can choose between French and German options in elementary school, while the middle school offers a German International Section and the option to study subjects like History, Geography, and Music in German. High school students may pursue the Baccalauréat or the dual-diploma Abibac, with additional options for Ancient Languages (Latin/Greek), Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
Outcomes
The school reports excellent exam results, including a 100% success rate for the Baccalauréat and Abibac, with 90% of students achieving honors. Students are prepared for various certifications, including the DNB (National Diploma), the Abibac (a dual French-German diploma), the Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD I and III), Cambridge English assessments, and DELF French certificates. Graduates are equipped to continue their education in the French system without entrance exams or pursue higher education in Germany and internationally.

Admissions
The school welcomes students of all nationalities aged three and older. Applicants for the Maternelle Petite Section must turn three by December 31 of the enrollment year. Students transferring from non-French systems are required to take a French comprehension placement test, and a trial period may be proposed based on the results. The application process is managed online via the Skolengo digital app, and registration becomes final upon payment of the initial registration fees.
Calendar
The school calendar is developed by management in consultation with the AEFE, teaching teams, and school governing bodies. It balances French educational requirements—such as the length of the school year and national examination schedules—with the varying dates of the Hessian summer holidays. To minimize impact on learning, long weekends and teacher development days are planned carefully, with the final calendar published in the spring following approval by the French Ministry of Education, the French Embassy, and the AEFE.
