Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah

Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah is committed to an integrated and holistic approach to learning that combines Islamic and intellectual sciences. Rooted in the Quran and Islamic tradition, the school seeks to build a culture of excellence, academic achievement, and a deep love for learning. It operates under the ambit of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) and is registered under the Education Act.

The school offers three primary educational tracks: the Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level curriculum, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and the Azhar 2.0 Programme. The academic structure is divided into Middle School (Secondary 1–4) and Senior School (Pre-University 1–2). The curriculum is supported by specialized departments, including Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, SEA Languages & Humanities, STEM, and Tarbiyah & Tadib.

The school aims to produce future scholars who embody Islamic values and contribute meaningfully to society. It fosters critical thinking, inquiry, creativity, and innovation, while instilling a commitment to lifelong learning and service to humanity. Graduates are prepared to excel academically while remaining rooted in Islamic tradition.

The school provides financial assistance schemes to support students. Additionally, the administration department coordinates communication and support services for students, parents, and staff to ensure a conducive learning environment.

Admission is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents currently enrolled in a local madrasah. Applicants for Secondary 1 and 3 must submit an e-portfolio including a personal statement in Arabic, certificates of achievement, evidence of participation in enrichment activities, samples of student work, and proof of leadership or community service roles. Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview and oral assessment, and a non-refundable registration fee of $100 is required.

The school operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. It is closed on Sundays and public holidays. The application deadline for the 2027 intake is 15 August 2025.

Located at 30 Victoria Lane, the campus is recognized as an Apple Distinguished School. It houses various specialized departments, including those dedicated to Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, STEM, and Humanities. The school also provides necessary logistical support for its academic and co-curricular programmes.

The school offers a diverse range of clubs and sports to support student development. Clubs include ELDDS, Nadil Hiwar, Kelab Jauhari, Culinary Club, Robotic Club, Nadi Al-Aswat, Nadi Al-Khattat, and Ihsan Club. Sports offerings consist of Silat, Archery, Kick Boxing, Netball, Football, Sepak Takraw, and Badminton.
