In high school, students may pursue the IB Diploma, the Global Impact Diploma (GID), or a personalized pathway that combines rigorous academics with real-world, future-focused experiences. Magellan students demonstrate strong academic performance, with 91% scoring above the national average on MAP Reading and Language Usage tests. Magellan International School is a secular, independent school that welcomes students from preschool through grade 12. The admissions process is open to families seeking a bilingual, inquiry-based education, and entry points vary by grade level. While Spanish immersion begins in early childhood, students may join in middle school without prior Spanish experience and receive support to build proficiency. A family’s ability to pay full tuition is not a factor in admissions decisions, and the school awards approximately $1.3 million in financial aid to 15% of its families annually.

The school operates two campuses in Northwest Austin. The Preschool campus on West Anderson Lane features age-appropriate classrooms, a library, a multipurpose room, and separate playgrounds. The 14-acre Bull Creek main campus serves students in grades K-12 and includes separate buildings for primary and secondary students, an innovation lab, language and science labs, a 2,500-square-foot bilingual library, and various outdoor spaces such as an athletic field, sports court, and amphitheater. Both campuses utilize security vestibules, badge access systems, and surveillance technology.

Students participate in a wide range of activities beyond the classroom, including after-school care and a secondary house system. The athletics program competes in the Austin Inter-Parochial League (AIPL) and the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). Offerings include flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, swimming, sailing, archery, cross country, track and field, and ultimate frisbee. Additionally, students have access to dedicated art and music instruction.
