Admissions

Admissions are based on academic excellence in Grade 8, entrance test results, and an interview with the school committee. Prospective students must complete an entrance test assessing English, Math, and critical thinking, followed by an application submission and a formal interview with the principal, academic coordinator, and homeroom teacher. The school maintains a waitlist once grades reach maximum capacity.

Calendar

The school operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:25 AM to 3:40 PM. Tuition payments are processed via monthly direct deposits from September to June.

About the campus

The school operates out of a dedicated 18,000-square-foot facility located at 2550 Argentia Road in Mississauga. The campus includes a school gym for fitness and athletic programmes, as well as dedicated spaces for clubs and academic instruction.

Co-curriculars

Students participate in a variety of clubs, including Robotics, Debate, Media, Book, Entrepreneurship, and Life Skills. The school also offers sports programmes such as basketball, volleyball, track and field, cricket, soccer, and wrestling. Additionally, students engage in intra-house competitions covering leadership, knowledge, arts, and athletics, as well as community service and fundraising initiatives.

    Founder and President of Al-Manarat, Mrs. Ali has led the institution since 2006, growing it from a small basement program to a high school. She holds a BSc from JBAS College, a master’s degree from Stella Maris College, and a Taleem-ul-Quran degree from Al Huda Institute Canada.

  • Junaid AliVice President and Principal

    Junaid Ali is the Principal of Al-Manarat High School and Vice President of Al-Manarat Islamic Schools. He holds an Honours BSc in Biology from the University of Toronto and is a graduate of the Bayyinah Institute’s Dream Program, currently completing Islamic studies at Mathabah Institute.

    Sheikh Ahmed Jamil serves as the Vice Principal, bringing a background in both Shariah and professional finance. He holds a Bachelor’s in Shariah from Mishkah University, a BSc in Biochemistry, and an MBA in Accounting, and is a CPA.

    Dr. Syed Fayyaz supports academic programming, student affairs, guidance, and policy development at the high school. He also serves as the Director of the Horizon STEM Lab.
