Bilingual European School

The school utilizes a constructivist pedagogical approach, where students are active creators of their own knowledge through inquiry-based learning, experimentation, and real-world problem solving. The educational pathway begins with the BAPS 'Full Immersion English' programme for ages 2–6, following the English National Curriculum (EYFS and KS1). The Bilingual European School continues this with a bilingual primary and secondary curriculum that integrates the Italian ministerial programme with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). The High School offers a four-year scientific liceo curriculum leading to a double diploma: the Italian diploma and the Canadian Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

The school aims to develop global citizens who possess critical thinking skills, initiative, and a natural understanding of both English and Italian. Graduates are prepared for a lifelong journey of learning, with the High School programme offering pathways to top international universities through qualifications such as the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

The school employs a professional Child Study Team consisting of a school counselor, a psychologist, and a play therapist. This team works alongside teachers to enhance students' learning skills, build self-confidence, and provide support for special educational needs through a flexible and differentiated programme. Inclusion is a core model for supporting students with diverse abilities.

The school welcomes applications from students who can contribute positively to the community. The selection process includes a review of previous school experience, a personal interview, and an assessment test for applicants aged 6 and older. Prospective families are encouraged to attend an Open Day or book a private tour of the campus.

The school operates throughout the year, closing only for scheduled school vacations. The academic calendar includes various community events, such as sports days and graduation ceremonies, and the school hosts summer camps, including multisport programmes, during the summer break.

The campus features a 4,500-square-meter garden with dedicated play areas for different age groups. Key facilities include a multifunctional 'Knowledge Centre', a '1+1 Lab' for science and art equipped with 3D printers, a 'LEGO® Lab' for robotics and coding, and a school gymnasium used for sports, performances, and community events. The school also provides a medical room staffed by an on-site nurse and a dining facility that emphasizes seasonal, fresh ingredients.

The school offers a range of extracurricular activities through its 'Extraclubs' programme, which takes place after school hours. Additionally, students participate in sports activities, including volleyball, football, tennis, hip hop, baseball, and hockey, which are held at the nearby Quanta Village sports centre for students in Years 4 through 8.
