The school offers a continuum of international curricula: the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) for ages 3–5, the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) for ages 6–10, and the English National Curriculum for Lower Secondary (ages 11–13). Students in Years 10–11 prepare for IGCSE examinations, while Years 12–13 follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Instruction is primarily in English, with additional language offerings in Spanish, French, Japanese, and Korean.

Graduates consistently achieve high academic results, with recent IB Diploma Programme pass rates between 98% and 100%. Over 80% of graduates secure placements at top-ranked universities globally, including institutions in the UK, US, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Students frequently receive significant scholarships, and many alumni go on to attend universities such as Cornell, Northwestern, Duke, and McGill.

The school provides dedicated English Language Support for students transitioning into the English-medium curriculum. For students with mild special educational needs (SEN), the school offers integrated support involving class teachers, counsellors, and a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), though resources are limited to mild cases and may require external support. Secondary students have access to two counsellors with master’s degrees in clinical psychology and specialized training in special education.

Greengates School maintains a rolling admissions calendar, allowing families to apply at any time during the academic year. The selective process requires the submission of a birth certificate, passport, immunization records, transcripts or report cards, and a teacher’s recommendation. Prospective families are encouraged to visit the campus or participate in a virtual discovery meeting, followed by a 'Discover Greengates' induction programme for the student.

The 2026-2027 academic year begins with an orientation for new families on August 24, 2026, and concludes on June 30, 2027. The calendar includes three terms, with scheduled breaks for half-term holidays in October and February, as well as various national holidays such as Independence Day, Revolution Day, and the birth of Benito Juárez.

The campus features a wide range of specialized facilities, including nine science labs, four high-tech computer labs, a media centre, and three libraries. Performing arts spaces consist of a Blackbox theatre, a 120-seat theatre, and a 700-seat auditorium, alongside art and photography studios. Sports facilities include an indoor gym with a five-meter climbing wall, an all-weather AstroTurf field, basketball courts, and a covered swimming pool, complemented by an adventure playground and an organic learning garden.

Students engage in a variety of afternoon activities, including sports, performing arts, and academic competitions, designed to foster resilience, creativity, and teamwork. Competitive sports teams include volleyball, football, basketball, and rugby, while performing arts opportunities are supported by music rooms and three theatres. Additionally, students participate in service initiatives and the 'CAS' (Creativity, Activity, Service) programme, which encourages leadership and community engagement.
