About the campus

The purpose-built, 40,000-square-metre campus in Huixquilucan features bright classrooms, a library, science labs, an art studio, a STEM workspace, and a performing arts room. Athletic facilities include multiple football fields, volleyball and basketball courts, and a full-sized astroturf pitch, with additional access to padel courts via the Mirador Sports Club. The campus also includes an open-air wooden Greek theatre, two cafeterias, and nearby ranch facilities for equestrian activities and woodland walks.

Co-curriculars

The school offers an extensive extracurricular programme that includes sports, cultural activities, and music. Students can participate in competitive sports, dance, Irish dancing, horse riding, and podcast development, as well as Model United Nations (MUN) and robotics. Music is a fundamental part of school life, with many students learning instruments such as the violin, viola, cello, or double bass for the school orchestra.

    Tom Wingate is the Founding Head of The Wingate School, which he established in 2016. With over 40 years of experience in education across several countries, he previously held senior positions at a British-international school in Mexico and worked in the English Department and Middle School administration at the City of London School. He holds qualifications from four universities, including UKC, Leeds University, Georgia State University, and Birkbeck College, University of London.

    Elena Casas was appointed Headteacher in August 2025, having previously served as the school's Deputy Head from 2016 to 2025. She is the founder and former Director of the School of Psychology at Anahuac University and holds numerous qualifications, including a Master's in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy and various diplomas in philosophy, theology, and education. She is also a member of the scientific committee of FISAC and the Consultancy Committee of AMEDIRH.

    Verónica Velderrain Sáenz, Ph.D.Deputy Head Pastoral

    Verónica Velderrain Sáenz serves as the Deputy Head Pastoral and has been with the school since its early stages. She brings 17 years of clinical and academic experience, including 14 years in private psychotherapy and consulting, and holds a Ph.D. in Family Education Sciences. She has led strategic initiatives such as the school-wide Sexuality Programme and the 'Constructive Dialogues' strategy.

    Ahsah Vázquez has served as the Head of Early Years and Primary since 2017 and brings over 25 years of experience in training and education. She holds a Master’s in Education and a BA in Institutions' Management, and has successfully implemented the International Primary Curriculum, literacy, and mathematics programmes at the school. She is also a PGCE mentor and has held previous roles as an Academic and Training Manager and University Coordinator.

    Vinay Jawahar has been the Head of Secondary School since August 2021 and has extensive experience in international education across three continents. He previously served as the IBDP Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge Coordinator at Colegio Gran Bretaña and held leadership roles at UWC Mahindra College in India. He holds a B.A. in International Politics & Economics, an M.A. in Comparative Politics, and a PGCEi.

    Cristina du Solier is the Head of the School of Character and has over seventeen years of experience in education. She holds a BA in Ciencias de la Educación and a Master’s in Education, and has previously worked as a Residential Director at King’s College, Soto de Viñuelas. She has served as the school’s Safeguarding Lead for four consecutive years.
