Church of Praise International Christian School

The school aims to train the "whole child" by fostering academic, social, and spiritual growth through a combination of rigorous study, healthy relationship building, and Biblical instruction. While the school is Christian-based, it welcomes students from various religious backgrounds and emphasizes respect during chapel and Bible times. It seeks to develop students into responsible global citizens who are fluent in both English and Japanese.

The school offers a bilingual programme for kindergarten through 9th grade, with an equal focus on English and Japanese fluency. The curriculum integrates Japanese public school textbooks with American, Biblically-based materials, and the school also operates an online elementary school option. The junior high programme is specifically designed to prepare students for matriculation into the school's sister institution, Family of Faith Christian School in Oklahoma, USA.

The school provides private tutoring lessons after school for students who wish to improve their skills in specific subjects. Additionally, an after-school care program is available until 5:00 pm, where teachers assist students with homework before providing time for play and snacks.

The school does not require an entrance examination for prospective students. Instead, it conducts an interview with the child and their parents to evaluate the student's abilities and needs and to determine if the school is a good fit. Interested families are encouraged to contact the school to schedule an interview and a tour.

The school operates on a standard academic schedule, with office hours from 9:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The school year includes traditional Japanese school events such as an opening ceremony, sports day, and a closing ceremony, alongside American holiday activities and an annual Christmas program.

The campus is located in Ikeda, Osaka, approximately 20 minutes on foot from Ikeda Station, with a school shuttle service available in the morning and afternoon. The school maintains smaller class sizes to facilitate individualized attention and utilizes a nearby gymnasium for sports activities. Private music lessons are also conducted on the school premises.

Students from 4th grade and up may participate in weekly clubs, including a Praise Band (5th–9th grade) for instruments and vocals, a basketball club (5th–9th grade) that utilizes a nearby gymnasium, an art club (4th–6th grade), and an IT club (6th–9th grade) focused on coding, typing, and web development. Additionally, the school offers private after-school music lessons on campus for piano, guitar, drums, and bass.
