Platon School

The school aims to cultivate a global identity and international mindset while maintaining a national and international educational programme. It focuses on developing lifelong researchers who are balanced, empathetic, and critical thinkers capable of contributing to a more peaceful world. The curriculum targets several key areas of education, including personal, social, political, multicultural, economic, environmental, and information literacy.

The school follows an IB continuum, starting with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3–11, which is Reggio-inspired in the preschool years. Students aged 11–16 follow the Middle Years Programme (MYP), while those aged 16–18 may pursue the IB Diploma Programme or the Greek General Lyceum (B' and C' Lyceum). The IB Diploma Programme consists of six subject groups—Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, and The Arts—alongside a core comprising Theory of Knowledge, an Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS).

The school provides an educational environment designed to differentiate instruction for the unique learning types of individual children. It emphasizes a bilingual setting and utilizes new technologies to support the educational journey from early childhood through adolescence.

The school conducts personal meetings with prospective parents and students to discuss enrollment, philosophy, and programmes. These meetings begin in mid-October of the school year preceding entry. Interested families may schedule an appointment by phone or by completing an online interest form.

The campus is located in Glyka Nera and features a school library that serves as an information center. The facilities are designed to support a modern, technology-enhanced learning environment. Specific spaces include dedicated areas for preschool and kindergarten, which are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach.

The school offers a variety of academies, including Swimming, Dance, Basketball, and Karate. Students also participate in activities such as the Platon Basketball Club, Platon Run, and the Platon School Model United Nations (PS-MUN). Additionally, the school hosts performances and encourages involvement in creative, athletic, and social service activities as part of the IB Diploma core.
