The school offers a unified British and Nigerian curriculum spanning Junior Secondary School (JSS, Years 7–9) and Senior Secondary School (SSS, Years 10–12). The JSS curriculum includes 12 core subjects and 3 elective options, while the SSS curriculum features 12 core subjects, 3–4 specialization subjects chosen from 20 options, and 5 trade and entrepreneurship routes. Students are prepared for examinations from five leading international and domestic bodies.

Applicants for Year 7 must be at least 10 years old by September of the admission year. The process requires an entrance examination covering English Language, Mathematics, Verbal Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Paper, followed by a compulsory oral interview. Candidates must provide original previous school records and demonstrate English language proficiency, with a minimum score of 60% required in both previous session reports and the entrance exam.

The school conducts entrance examinations on scheduled dates throughout the year, such as those held in January, March, and April. The academic year is structured to include regular assessments and periodic events, including inter-house sports competitions.

Rainbow College operates three campuses: two day schools located in Surulere and Ikota, Lagos, and a boarding facility situated on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Maba, Ogun State. The school provides state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to support student learning and development.
