Ambrit International School

Ambrit International School fosters the cognitive, aesthetic, physical, social, and emotional growth of the whole child through an inquiry-based, interdisciplinary approach. The school aims to develop independent, globally-minded, and responsible students who possess an appreciation for different cultures and the tools to become life-long learners.

The school provides an IB-based education, with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) covering Early Childhood through Grade 5 and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) serving students in Grades 6 through 8. While English is the primary language of instruction, the curriculum includes Italian, French, Mandarin, and Spanish as additional languages. The Middle School programme also offers preparation for the Italian State Exam.

The Student Services department consists of a collaborative team specializing in English as an Additional Language (EAL), learning support, and counseling. While the school supports students with mild to moderate learning difficulties on a probationary basis, it is unable to accommodate children with significant special educational, physical, or behavioral needs due to limitations in space and specialized personnel.

Ambrit International School accepts applications throughout the school year for students of all nationalities, aiming to maintain a diverse student body balanced by gender, academic ability, and language background. Admission to the Nursery class requires children to be three years old by October 31 and potty trained, with grade placement for all students determined by age as of that same date. The school requires past academic records for all applicants and conducts language assessments for non-native English speakers over the age of five to determine if additional support is necessary.

Located in Rome, the campus features spacious playing fields and offers sweeping views of the city. The school is a technology-rich environment, utilizing modern resources to support the education of the whole child within a stimulating setting.
