Ronde Privatskole

Founded in 1917, the school is built on over 100 years of tradition with a mission to foster high academic standards, personal development, and an international outlook. The school follows the Danish Ministry of Education's 'Fælles Mål' (Common Goals) for grades 7–10. It offers an optional Cambridge International School programme, which provides an extra academic challenge in English and German through an increased number of lessons and the use of authentic, non-educational materials. The school maintains a maximum class size of 25 students, with a cap of 66 students per grade level.

Students prepare for and sit for the Danish folkeskole's 9th and 10th-grade examinations. The school is a gymnasieforberedende (upper-secondary preparatory) institution, and students have the opportunity to transition to the gymnasium located in the same building. Additionally, students may opt to earn a Cambridge International certificate in English and German.

The school employs dedicated AKT (Behavior, Contact, Wellbeing) teachers to support students facing personal or academic challenges. It collaborates with parents, the student, and municipal authorities to provide necessary resources, including support from the Pedagogical Psychological Counseling (PPR) service. While the school aims to be inclusive, it monitors classroom dynamics to ensure that the learning environment remains effective for all students.

The school maintains an electronic waiting list, with a registration fee of 500 DKK. Admissions are processed in the order of registration, though siblings of current students receive priority. Prospective students and their parents must attend an admissions interview to ensure alignment with the school's values, and a 4,400 DKK enrollment fee is required upon acceptance.

The school operates on a 12-month payment cycle from August through July. The academic year includes standard Danish school holidays, though students participating in the optional Cambridge International examinations must adhere to the examination schedule set by the University of Cambridge, which may not align with local Danish holidays.

Located in Rønde, the school shares premises with Syddjurs Gymnasium, providing access to modern, well-maintained subject-specific classrooms suitable for experimental work. The campus includes a canteen that holds a bronze organic certification and offers a subsidized meal program. For physical education, the school utilizes the sports halls at the nearby Rønde Efterskole.
