Sai Kung International Pre-School

The school's philosophy centers on the fundamental role of play in early childhood development. Through both indoor and outdoor play in a secure yet challenging environment, children are encouraged to explore, take risks, learn from mistakes, think creatively, and develop social and problem-solving skills.

SKIP follows an adapted UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum with a forest school focus. The academic programme covers seven areas of learning, including communication and language, physical development, personal-social-emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding of the world, and expressive arts and design. Offerings include unaccompanied Kindergarten classes, accompanied "Caterpillars" playgroups, and unaccompanied "Dragonflies" pre-nursery classes.

Admissions are open for the school's kindergarten and playgroup programmes, with fees structured by class type. For the 2026-2027 school year, annual Kindergarten tuition is $56,650 for the morning class and $40,000 for the afternoon class, both payable in ten monthly installments. Playgroup fees are charged either per session for accompanied classes or monthly for unaccompanied pre-nursery classes. Withdrawals require written notice of two months for Kindergarten and one month for playgroups to qualify for refunds.

The academic calendar consists of three terms running from mid-August to late June. For the 2026-2027 school year, Term 1 runs from August 19 to December 10, Term 2 runs from January 4 to March 24, and Term 3 runs from April 12 to June 24. The school year includes a half-term break in October and a Chinese New Year holiday in February.

Situated in a green setting overlooking Shelter Cove, the campus features a bright, well-equipped classroom and a dedicated arts and crafts area. Outdoor learning and play spaces include a spacious playground protected by sunshades, a front playground, a large sandpit, an interactive garden, a sensory garden, and a dedicated area for water and messy play.

The school runs a "Holiday Paint & Play" programme during the summer months of June, July, and August. This programme offers weekday morning sessions of creative and sensory play for young children and their siblings.
