It focuses on the personal and academic development of the individual through the meeting between students and staff in a boarding school environment.

The school offers 9th grade and three distinct 10th-grade tracks: 'Almen10' (traditional structure with exams), 'Fokus10' (in-depth study without grades/exams), and 'Projekt10' (project-based learning with a focus on innovation and practical solutions). All tracks include core subjects such as Danish, mathematics, and English, with additional subjects like German, physics, and social studies depending on the chosen path. The curriculum integrates academic learning with physical activity, including approximately six hours of mandatory gymnastics and sports per week.

Students in 9th grade and the 'Almen10' track complete the mandatory national leaving examinations (folkeskolens afgangsprøver). The 'Fokus10' track concludes with a written evaluation focusing on student competencies, while 'Projekt10' students complete a project examination and a portfolio-based assessment. The school aims to provide a solid academic foundation and develop study habits that prepare students for upper secondary education (gymnasium) or other youth education pathways.

The school provides daily study time and a homework café where students can receive academic assistance. In the 10th-grade 'Almen10' track, students struggling with Danish or mathematics can receive extra instruction in these subjects instead of choosing between physics and German. A dedicated 'school mother' with a nursing background supports students with health-related needs and appointments.

The school recommends that prospective students visit the campus for a tour before enrolling. Applications are submitted online, and the school provides an overview of available spots for upcoming school years. For students residing in Himmerland or North Jutland, the school offers transport assistance to the Hvalpsund–Sundsøre ferry on Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings.

The school year is structured around a boarding life experience, with students living on campus from August to June. Room assignments are updated around Christmas, when students move to new rooms with different roommates. The school day includes a balance of academic lessons, linjefag (specialized subjects), elective subjects, gymnastics, and designated study time.

The campus features modern facilities including new, bright classrooms, a sports hall, a spring center, a fitness balcony, and an artificial turf pitch. Communal areas include a dining hall, a bright common room, and seven student wings with mostly two-person rooms. Outdoor amenities include a lounge area with hammocks, hot tubs, a sauna wagon, a pannacourt, a beach volleyball court, a football golf course, an obstacle course, and a multi-purpose hill used for sledding in winter and as a slide in summer.

Students choose from 10 specialized linjefag, including Spring (gymnastics), Rhythm & Dance, Football, Padel & Golf, Fitness & Adventure, Design, E-sport, Music, Animation & Media Design, and Food & Body. Additionally, there are 16 elective subjects available. The school emphasizes community through activities such as gala evenings, communal meals, and various outdoor pursuits, including use of a summer house at Grønning Strand.
