Chapel School

Founded in 1947, the school operates on a mission to provide an American-style education within a caring and academically challenging environment. The school provides a comprehensive education from early childhood through high school, offering American, Brazilian, and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. Early childhood education focuses on social-emotional and cognitive development through play-based learning, utilizing the Creative Curriculum and the Being a Writer program. High school students engage in a rigorous academic path that includes mandatory and elective courses in technology, such as computer science, programming, and broadcast journalism, alongside traditional core subjects.

Admissions are open throughout the year, with the academic calendar divided into two semesters: early August to mid-December and late January to mid-June. The school evaluates applicants based on academic records, previous school recommendations, and standardized test results. Students applying for the second semester of 11th grade or the beginning of 12th grade must meet specific prerequisites to join the International Baccalaureate program. The school hosts numerous community events throughout the year, including a Book Fair, Halloween, Thanksgiving, a Christmas Bazaar, and an International Festival. Traditional celebrations include the Festa Junina, which highlights Brazilian culture, and Chapel Day, which marks the school's anniversary on December 8th with a Mass and special lunch. The Encontro Literário encourages students to produce texts in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French, culminating in an awards ceremony and the publication of a book.

Located on a 40,000-square-meter green campus, the school features modern infrastructure including an official soccer field, two sports gyms, a climbing wall, a tennis court, and a fitness center. Academic facilities include three science labs, an integrated science room, two art studios, a music room, and an auditorium with a capacity for 784 people. The campus also houses two libraries containing over 36,000 books and digital resources, as well as extensive technology infrastructure, including computer labs, 3D printers, and high-speed wireless connectivity. Security is maintained 24/7 with monitored access points and surveillance cameras.
